The Virginia General Assembly is the legislative body of the Commonwealth of Virginia, and the oldest continuous law-making body in the New World, established on July 30, 1619.
Virginia has 100 delegates (state representatives), and 40 state senators. Orange County is currently represented by Delegate Nick Freitas (30th House of Delegates District), and by Senator Bryce Reeves (17th Senatorial District).
